Parkham Pie

Parkham Pie is the village magazine. It is published monthly and contains a host of articles including stories, travelogues, news and information from the meetings of various clubs and societies. A useful monthly calendar of events in the village is included together with announcements for events and meetings around the village and even includes tide times and phases of the moon. Just a brief flick through the pages will tell you there is a lot going on, even though we are a small community.

The magazine welcomes contributions from residents and anyone with content that may be interesting or useful to Parkhamites.

Tall Tales from a Tall Bar Stool

Two factory workers are talking. The woman says: “I can make the boss give me the day off.” The man replies: “And how do you do that?” The woman says, “Just wait and see.” She then hangs upside down from the ceiling. The boss comes in and says, “What are you doing?” The woman answers: “I’m a light bulb.” The boss then says, “You’ve been working so much that you’ve gone crazy. I think you need to take the rest of the day off.” The man starts to follow her out and the boss enquires: “Where are you going?” The man replies: “I’m going home too. I can’t work in the dark.”
